At the Midland College Foundation, for instance, a long-term investment strategy ensures that endowments grow over time to keep pace with inflation. For example, the $14 million Chaparral Circle Endowment Fund, which had a balance of $5.75 million in 1996, has made contributions to 141 Midland College projects. Since 1996, the interest from the endowment has placed $5,549,036 into MC's operating budget!!!
