Michael Lloyd Reed

Michael Lloyd Reed, born on December 24, 1953 in Big Spring, TX to Howard and Pauline Reed, died peacefully in his sleep on May 16, 2014 in Midland, TX. He was 60 years old.

He married Cindy Smith on March 3, 1978 in Midkiff, TX. Michael attended Big Spring High School, Texas Tech University and attained his Bachelors in Computer Systems at American Intercontinental University. He was involved in the Commemorative Air Force as a Marshaller for over 20 years. He was also a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Northeast Volunteer Fire Department in Midland County. He had also worked for the Midland Rockhounds for over 18 years. He was an Associate Professor for Midland College's Computer Graphics Technology Program and before that he was the architecture teacher and technology specialist for Greenwood Independent School District, where he has touched so many lives through his teachings.

He loved baseball, airplanes, the Red Raiders, but most of all his grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother Pauline Reed of Mingus, TX; his wife Cindy Reed of Midland, TX. He is also survived by his son Chris Reed and his spouse Chrissy of Midland, TX; and his other son Ryan Reed and his spouse Jennifer of Angleton, TX. Michael is also survived by five grandchildren Leah, Aiden, Zach, Caitlyn and Chelsea.
