Davidson Distinguished Lecture Series

 

In May 1996, Steve Davidson and Susan Davidson McClenahan of the Davidson Family Charitable Foundation announced the endowment of the Davidson Distinguished Lecture Series.Twice a year, the Davidson Distinguished Lecture Series, Midland College Foundation and Friends of the Series present speakers whose civic leadership, academic accomplishments and/or public achievements interest, enrich, and enlighten Midland students and citizens. Doris Kearns Goodwin

 

Goodwin D Photo  High Res HEADSHOT   foundationDoris Kearns Goodwin, world-renowned historian, has been reporting on politics and baseball for over two decades. Goodwin is the author of several books and has written for leading national publications. She appears regularly on network television programs and was an on-air consultant for PBS documentaries on Lyndon B. Johnson, the Kennedy Family, Franklin Roosevelt and Ken Burns' The History of Baseball. Goodwin served as an assistant to Lyndon Johnson in his last year in the White House. She was the first female journalist to enter the Red Sox locker room.
